THE VIEWING GUIDE

IPTV on Windows and Mac

A clear desktop setup, from choosing a player to protecting your playlist and account.

Choose a trusted desktop player

Ask which Windows or macOS players support the login format supplied by your provider. Download from the publisher’s official website or a trusted platform store. Check whether your operating-system version is supported before installing.

Keep the account format consistent

Some players take a complete playlist URL; others need a username, password and server address entered separately. Use the method provided for your account. A playlist URL can embed account details, so treat the whole link as confidential.

Load and organise your viewing

  1. Open the player and add a new account or playlist.
  2. Enter the supplied login information.
  3. Let the channel list and available guide data update.
  4. Test a regular channel, then an on-demand item.
  5. Create favourites or use channel groups for faster navigation.

Check the desktop connection

A wired connection is useful when the computer is far from the Wi-Fi access point. Pause cloud sync, game downloads and other heavy traffic during a test. The screen resolution, decoder support and programme source also affect the final picture.

Collect useful details for support

Note your operating system, player version, whether the problem affects all channels or one, and the time it happened. Describe any visible error message without sharing a screenshot containing your login details.
